Why I Joined Another Social Network.

Last night, I became an Event Peep.

Eventpeeps.com
is the "Live Event Industry Social & Professional Network." Over the years, I've worked on many events from the Winter Olympics to NASCAR races to the ESSENCE Music Festival. I've built my career on crowd engagement. So it's good to be around my peers, er, peeps.

If you ever questioned why should you get involved in a social network, then it may be because you aren't getting much out of them. I may assume you aren't investing much in them.

If you don't get involved, you get nothing back. Here's a quick way to get value out of your membership and be valued in return:
1. Talk. Blog, chat in forums and participate discussions.
2. Attend events. If there is something close, get to know members in your area.
3. Visit regularly. You never know what they have to offer, if you don't see what's new on the site.

If any network you join doesn't seem active, then move on to one that is.

Click this link if you want to be an Event Peep. Membership must be approved. I hope to see and hear from you there.
