Big ideas commonly get killed for two reasons: not enough time and money. But sometimes the stars line up and you can make it happen. The idea of the Carrier Classic game today (11/11/11) has been kicked around for several years. Michigan State Athletic Director Mark Hollis has been pitching the dream since 2004.
Various people didn't give up on it, they just waited for the right opportunity. Now our troops will have the chance to enjoy the inaugural Quicken Loans Carrier Classic, a college basketball game on the deck of the USS Carl Vinson. Enjoy! You deserve it. Go Spartans!
