Wood U Higher A Acount Exeecutive?
Has a careless typo ever cost me an new opportunity? I'm sure it has.
I recently saw a LinkedIn profile of someone I knew. Recently unemployed, this person listed his/her profile as a "Senior Acount Exeecutive Professional."
Even if you thought it was perfect the first time you posted, it's always beneficial to periodically proofread your profile and anything else with your name on it. Better yet, ask someone else to take a look.
By the way, I did tell the person about the error. He/She was embarrassed, because that profile was up for a month after the layoff. It's like going to a business meeting or an interview with lipstick on your teeth or with your fly down.
Yeah, you'll make an impression – one that may make you kick yourself with embarrassment. (And if you think I'm embarrassing this person by calling him/her out, it was this person's idea to share on my blog.) After the title change, I did recommend him/her for an account executive position.
