Two Ways To Play In A Shark Tank.

I'm happy to see ABC brought back Shark Tank. I love that show. If you aren't familiar with it, the premise is entrepreneurs pitch their business ideas to a panel of tycoons. The panel then decides if they will help finance your company by becoming business partners with you.
It's not the negotiations that I enjoy, it's the series of ideas that are presented to the panel each week and they range from laughable (Wake N/ Bacon) to likeable (First Defense Nasal Screens - yes, seriously).

Ideas and inspiration can come from anywhere, including this show. I'll see a product and say, "Hey, I could use that on a project I'm working on." Or, it could be a great idea to save for later. The show sometimes turns into a brainstorming session for me and a pitch may spark an idea of my own. All are budding businessmen and women looking for an opportunity. If they can't work with the sharks. They may be open to working with you by becoming part of some project you're working on. Contact them. You never know.
Or you could work for them. Some of the presenters have interesting business propositions that really don't need the sharks' financial backing, just a little marketing savvy. I could see small marketing shops and freelancers pitching a marketing plan to help build their customer base.
I'm just saying you've got to make your own opportunities, no matter how unorthodox they present themselves.
You can find the shows entrepreneurs and their contact information on the ABC site.
