As you can tell from the header, I've have some big changes going on in my life. I've been a metro Detroiter for almost 30 years. I've been in the Detroit ad business for over 20 years. Now everything has changed. I'm giving up the Motor City for the Windy City.

I'm leaving with a lot of good memories.

But my family and I are excited to start  this new adventure.

I've taken a senior copywriter position at The Marketing Store in Chicago to work on McDonald's, Coke and a few other things. If you're not familiar with the agency name, you know their work — Coke Rewards, McDonald's Monopoly Game and Happy Meals. They even design the Happy Meal toys here. (Anyone who's seen all of the toys on my desk know this is a great move for me). It's a cool experiential and promotional shop with a great bunch of people. I'm excited to join the team.

So I'm at a new agency in a new market. With Professor Ad Man, you can look forward to some new insights, new inspirations and new information I hope you'll find more helpful than before.

Class is back in session. Time to get schooled.
